RepOcean Help Open RepOcean

Connect Google and add your locations

Link your Google Business Profile so your reviews flow in.

Before you start

You need a Google account that manages your business on Google (your Google Business Profile). This is usually the account you use to edit your opening hours on Google Maps.

Add your locations

  1. Open Locations and choose Add from Google. (On the dashboard the button is called Add locations.)
  2. Sign in with your Google account and allow RepOcean to manage your reviews. RepOcean only uses this to read reviews, post your replies and keep your profile up to date.
  3. Tick the locations you want, then choose Add selected locations.
  4. Your past reviews are imported straight away. New reviews arrive automatically from then on.

A location marked Already imported is in your account already. One marked Managed by another RepOcean account belongs to someone else and can’t be added twice.

How quickly new reviews appear

New reviews usually show up within minutes. If instant updates aren’t available for your account, RepOcean checks about once an hour. You can always press Refresh now on the Locations page to fetch the latest reviews straight away.

Connecting a client’s Google account (agencies)

If you manage reviews for clients, you don’t need their Google password.

  1. Open Settings and find Ask a customer to connect.
  2. Type the client’s name and choose Create link.
  3. Send the link to your client. They sign in with Google on that page and their locations become available to add to your account. The link works for 14 days.

If Google gets disconnected

If a location shows Connection lost, Google access was removed or expired. Open Settings, reconnect the Google account under Google connections, and reviews start flowing again. Nothing is lost while disconnected.

Ready to try it? Opens the right page in RepOcean. You may be asked to sign in first.
