Send new reviews to other apps

Webhooks for Zapier, Make, your CRM or your own software.

A webhook sends each new review to another app the moment it arrives, so you can add it to a spreadsheet, create a task in your CRM, or start any automation. Open Integrations.

Add a webhook

  1. Get a webhook address from the other app. In Zapier this is a Webhooks by Zapier › Catch Hook trigger; in Make, a Custom webhook. It must start with https://.
  2. Paste it in RepOcean.
  3. Under Send, choose Every new review or Only 1–2 star reviews. Under From, choose all locations or one.
  4. Save, then choose Send test to check the other app receives it.

You can add up to 5 webhooks. Use Pause to stop one for a while, or Remove to delete it. Each webhook has a delivery log showing Delivered, Retrying or Failed.

What RepOcean sends

A POST with a JSON body:

  • event (review.created or test), id, created_at
  • location: id, name, address
  • review: id, author, rating, is_negative, text, reply, published_at, source, recommends, url
Checking it really came from RepOcean

Each request has the headers X-RepOcean-Event, X-RepOcean-Timestamp and X-RepOcean-Signature. The signature is sha256= followed by the HMAC-SHA256 of timestamp.body, using the webhook’s signing secret (copy it from the Integrations page).

Retries and limits

If your app doesn’t answer with success, RepOcean tries again up to 4 more times over about two and a half hours. Reviews more than a week old are not sent.
